I am thankful for all of the people who put others ahead of themselves. Such people include the following:

• People protesting against racism.
• Medical personnel who put their lives on the lines for patients struck with COVID-19.
• Families who balance their professional lives with raising their kids while the kids have been designated for remote learning.
• Anyone who spends time with another person amid the pandemic.

All such people prove that they were born special the way and have made themselves even more so due to what they do with their gifts and their livelihoods.
